How much does your rig weigh?

Do you pull that with a KIA?

We are trying to lighten the load for the trip to Las Vegas. We need to get the rig to 9,995 or less due to the highway patrol requiring a commercial Class A lic.

We will need to remove the 2 turbo twisters, have no fuel or water on board with no hoses. According to the math, hopefully we should be around that number.

Are you going to the Las Vegas, possible tax deduction !!!

Where you pulled over in your state?

What was the process to get the registration?

Did you have to put a DOT # on the truck?

Yes i was in FL

I just went down to MV and had them raise the GVW, it costs you more but keeps you legal.

No Dot # required

Nick you really need to get that flatbed your were talking about. once you go from pulling a trailer to everything on the truck your gonna ask yourself what took me so long.

That is what I want to do this year, go from a trailer to a flatbed truck.

Too many times I can't get in too close with the trailer or the houses with the 1/2 circle drives....can't make the turn with the long truck and trailer.

Even if it turns out later on that I don't like the flatbed idea, there are many, many uses for it that I can use still in the pressure washing business.

Greg could you post a pic of your rig, or redirect us to a post with a pic of your rig.

Chris what is the length of your trailer, and the combined vehicle length?

I've changed some stuff since these pictures. I added another machine for a total of 21 gpm when all are running.

I have 1 big issue w/ flatbeds...

What do you do when you are working on a big job, and something you dont have an extra of on hand breaks and you have to run out and get a new part or you need to go and get lunch for your guys or something like that. Do you just pack everything up? I like being able to just let them continue working doing something, and just unhook the trailer and go, rather than having to pack EVERYTHING back up.

I love that flatbeds look so much more professional, but I cant see how they would be much more functional than a trailer...Im not saying they arent, I just dont know...

Scott the initial design of my wash system I seriously considered this company for a versatile flatbed multi-use vehicle setup, and you could still pull a trailer if need be.

We scaled at 11780  out at the truck stop. That was with only 230 gallons in a 300 gallon tank and our 35 gallon detergent tank was empty too. Add the extra weight we didnt have 105 gallons x 8 and we are pushing 12620 We have never scaled before, this was an eye opener. Our truck weighs 3600 out of that. Our towing on our truck is suppose to be 7700lbs....so much for that.

Its a good truck, pushing 150,000, we have put 70k on in the last 2.5 yrs, and only have put about $1600 into it with gen maintenance and brake pads. We do need a new truck, very bad but just dont have the funds or the customer base right now to back up another payment.:(

That sure added up quickly. Is the trailer a steel floor?

Ford trucks don't complain they just pull their load. :)

So you are taking it to Vegas then. Cool. How are you going to wash that big garage you were telling me about with no turbo twister?! Not a working vacation huh?
