How Long Does it take YOU?

Thank you for the great answers. See When i launch in may I just want to be able to know what to expect, I know I know I will be new so it will take me longer but just wanted an average.

I will be running residential to stay busy while waiting for my 30 day comercial contacts and my 60 day commercial contacts.

So i need to be flexible. with the research i have done i have decided on the following trailer setup.

Black Knight 624-G Skid Hot water @ 8gpm 3500

400 gallon water tank
35 gallon chem tank for dsing
28 inch surface cleaner

2 gun set up

John

John, your times will start off much slower than what you read here. These guys have all got years of practice, and their times reflect that. You will find a HUGE improvement in your time invested per job by your ninth or tenth job over your first. Be patient, because quality is most important - speed comes with practice.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to develop your work habits and routine. Never go between your truck and the job or back without carrying something, for example. When you begin thinking that way, you naturally get more efficient.

Good luck with your launch. If we can help you in any way, give us a call!

If you go into the jobs trying to match the numbers here you will get your feelings hurt. Some of the posts come from people with employees.Like Pete said focus on getting it clean and not how long you have been there.

Sometimes when I'm slow I deliberately slow down and try things I have been pondering.

Too true!. When I started 9 years ago, it took me twice as long as it does now - and I couldn't do as good a job. Of course, there weren't the resources available then that there are now. With the equipment John is going to "arm" himself with - and the help of others, his learning curve should be short.

Larry, in your first picture, what are the 4 hoses going to the ShurFlo?
Hey Scott, One hose goes to my 50 gal tank, one goes to my 125gal tank, one goes to my 25gal and is also 10ft long which I can use if I have to carry a 55gal extra drum for bigger Roof Cleaning jobs or for transfering chems outside of the trailer and the last one just goes to a 5gal bucket just underneith the plumbing for rinsing out the line. Each one is plumbed to it's specific tank etc...and connects to a ball valve on my chem reel. If I need to use my Comet Roof Cleaning pump instead of the surflow all I do is switch the ball valve on the chem line at the reel. Kinda like having the best of both worlds. Makes life easy! :)
