That little red funnel with the lid on it... well that's the mens room. Please replace lid when finished... :)

Couple of things, Justin...

1) Where does the little red funnel drain to?

2) Please send me the brush clamps and the numbers for my upstream valve. Thanks.

Might want to check out this topic as well.

My thought for what it is worth. If you are pulling on your hose trying to clean the last couple of feet with out adding more hose or moving your set up, and let go of the trigger, the expansion of the hose as John discussed in the thread he provided a link to, will in effect make the hose shorter. something you will not notice unless you have the hose stretched out tight. I have not been thrown form this but I have been pulled backward a few feet. This is what I think happened to scott

Well Thought Out

You mentioned everything was well thought out. Well what are you gonna put on the persons face that walks into your burner exhaust.

I have this same setup and I have to say, if someone is stupid enough to walk into a huge burner exhaust, they deserve to get a little blast of hot air in the face.

I work at the back o this rig every day and it does NOT pose a problem. I prefer it over cutting a hole in the roof of a $4,000 trailer and deal with the eventual leaks.

Does everyone wear insulated shin protectors when they walk near the rear of a vehicle, too?

That may be closer to the truth than you think. I had a helper once, who when told some safety procedure like "Do not walk by the exhaust burner, hot flame comes out of the pipe" would nod his head and say "OK". One night he learned not to walk by the PW exhaust pipe. but he only needed one lesson to impress into his little pea brain, that hot flame comes out of hte pipe.

i would'nt worry about someone that has been told about the problem. I would worry about the homeowner looking in to find me when i was in the back yard cleaning the pool deck.
Now when that happens, EVERYONE get's sued. Starting with the equipment mfg. then justin, then you.
Justin will take the brunt of it. He assembled it and sold it. Mfg. not resposable for modifacations.
Now YOU are also at fault because you now have prior knowalge of a defect and failed to correct it.
Same as a car mfg. sending you a recall notice for the breaks on your car.
my suggestion. cut the hole.
good catch Walter and welcome back.

Well thought out...

Walter, good question. If the guy is 7' tall, it would be a problem and I've placed a fire extinguisher to the right and a hose sticking out the back so you can rinse off. The burner exhaust is well above your head and if you'll notice, it's above the hose reels so it's not somewhere you are going to be walking unless you are walking on top of the hose reels.

Is that well thought out?... oh and no holes in the trailer with some makeshift vent pipe sticking out the top. Now you can back it in your garage door in the winter.

Last but not least, it works and works well. If there is some better way of doing it, I want to know. I've been looking for the right vent pipe out the side or out the top that would allow clearance for overhead obstructions. The side sounds good but want something that looks nice and that's washable. I'm open for any ideas.

Stupid people

Just a thought. Although people unaware of what is coming out of that exhaust may not be thought of as stupid to a jury.

Exhuast

I uploaded this picture over a year ago. I do not remember under what thread. Double wall insulated pipe. One six inch screwed to the burner and a 36 inch removable peice to put on top when using the burner.

Someone said they would rather exit their exhaust out the back rather than cut a hole in his $4,000 trailer. I have a $4,000 trailer and I would cut 20 holes in the roof before risking burning someone or even starting a fire (stack fire) in my trailer because Im worried about a leak (I'd be willing to bet a million dollars you wont get enough water out of your vent to match what happens in 3 minutes with a bad o'ring or burst hose). One more problem with exhausting out the back is you may pull that hot air right back in and overheat the entire system. Oh yeah while im at it I can close all my doors and run my machine no matter what the temp is outside. I just run my hoses out of the hose holes in the floor (I did not put them in the side yet, but I will). Please do not take this post as an attack. I am simply trying to help someone if thay want it. I do not want anyone to reply to this post in an imature way. Do not feel you have to insult or out do me. Keep it to your self unless you have some substance to contribute. Besides what does all this have to do with brown water anyway.

Please post a picture of your rig and the exhaust so I can get some ideas. Thank you.

We also have rigs with nearly 5000 hours on them and none have had the problems you speak of.

Anyway, all responses are appreciated and none of us can possibly think of everything. I try to do my best for my customers but it's impossible to be perfect.

Well I will be around all day today because I have to get this website up. It's pressurewashcentral.com. Hopefully I get going on it and get it up so I can skip out and go golfing... anyone want to join me for 9?
