Can someone recommend a good product for removing black streaks on gutters. I tried the super clean but the couldn't get them clean without removing paint, even when changing the concentration. too weak no cleaning too strong no more paint?

I use F-13 from Bob too. As with any chemical make sure to use eye protection. I have found some tiger striping that it wouldn't remove even straight. Also read the Q & A on Bob's site.

FYI there seems to be a narrow "dwell time" with F-13 at least to me. If you don't wait long enough it won't work. Too long and it goes out of solution and resets as a stain and you have to reapply. You can't apply very far ahead.

I get that sometimes too!

I used F-13 and really wasn't happy with the results. I just bought some gutter Zap today from Northern Tool for $9.00/gal. It was on clearance. I'm going to try it to see if I like it better. My local pressure washer supply says they have a "Miracle Cleaner" that will get the black streaks off instantly. They were out of it until tomorrow. I'll keep you guys posted. Gutters as simple as they are, really piss me off to clean. I get tired of rubbing the paint off.

I know what you mean! I would really like to know how that "Miracle Cleaner" works out for you!

use Mean Green here, cleans great, but same ole same ol... brings up paint. We just rub as little as possible.

Is that the same stuff you buy at the dollar store?

Gutter Zap works great as long as the outside temps are above 55..warmer the gutters better they clean up...always do a test spot because there are brands of gutters that will lose the paint with scrubbing..don't usually run into this with the upper end houses..apply with a brush on about a 10ft section then scrub...don't let it dry as was mentioned in another post

Yes, I buy Mean Green at "Big Lots" for $2 quart. It's strong shizz.

No , we have to rub with rag or a brush, but gently. Only working 3 to 4 ft at a time. If you find a spray and rinse, let us all know.

How do you dilute it. I had a gallon in my shed that I remembered I bought a while ago.

The directions says do not use on Aluminum or Painted surfaces. What type of gutters are you spraying them on?

I'm doin sumthin wrong I guess, I'm using Purple Power @ 50 %. Spray on and almost immediately spray off, that's it... so far bright white every time.

My gutters on a 1500 to 2000 sq. ft. house are done in 10 min tops.

A little oxidized paint comes off in the rinse but never to bare metal.
