Fax Marketing

after calling the "call back" number for the 50th time in 2 hours, from my last fax advertising (800 number) the guy on the other end of the line started swearing at me. Seems it was ok for him to bother me, but not ok for me to bother him.

All i wanted was the fax number of the company he had his fax advertising set up with.

When he could no longer get any legitimate calls through on his line, since i had them tied up, he was not happy.

What a surprise!

Todd

lolololol

I am shore he does

I am curious about fax marketing. To those of you who have tried this form of adverising, how has it worked out for you? Do you send faxs only to those who ask for it, previous clients/customers? Or do you send our mass faxs to select fax numbers, such as property managers or real estate companies? I am concerned about the general impression one may get by receiving a fax they did not request. How do you get these fax numbers?

Is this working for ya

Ive got a couple jobs like this washing rigs. Normally door to door handing out cards is the best way. How do you guys advertise flatwork? Do you just walk door to door giving handouts to managers? I am doing this the rest of the week so i could use some ideas.

Door to door works and so do cards

Never ask can I pressure wash your place

Should I bid it like its a truck job? I normally walk in and ask to speak to the manager or fleet manager and then tell them I am here to put in a bid washing their trucks. Saying I am here to put in a bid normally always gets me to the man in charge. should i tell this to the gas station and resteraunt managers I speak too? I dont wanna spend too much time in one place but I also dont want them throwin my cards right out.

Sounds good

Dustin, as for the restaurants, ask for the GM. Tell them why you are there, and offer them a free demo at the dirtiest spot they can find. I usually do a 10ft section.

You could even say "I know you are very busy, can I come tonight when you are closed, and clean a small section for free so you can see the difference we can make? Then I'll follow up with you tomorrow."

you will be much better off to demo in their face instead of when they are not there

Very good point Jonathan. Let me correct myself...
Always ask for a demo in front of the GM. If not right then, try to schedule it when they first arrive on a different day, before the store is open. If they are too busy and continue to say no, the overnight demo usually works, because it doesn't take up their time.

Ok will do. Weve had some luck with the drill rigs. Looks like we may get a contract with a company that has 5 vacuum reclaim trucks n they wanna follow us around suckin up our water when we wash at drill sites. they do the pressure washing too but dont like it and only wanna do the reclaim and hire us for the washing. wow.. this is easy.. the jobs already there all i gotta do is go do it when they call. One question guys. the man in charge said were hired and all we need is a Master Service Agreement. I have a telephone conference at 7pm with him. What is a MSA. could you guys help me with that? Also do you guys have any advice as to what I should say to the boss in the phone call. On the other side of it.. Do you guys know of any people pressure washing in LO incase I have to sub out some of this work?

Can't help you much on this but I think you may get some more info if you started a new post just for your question that you have.

Sounds like you may be on to something there, keep at and don't give up.

I just landed a big contract after working 3 straight weeks none stop on the paper work for it. It's worth it tho!!
