Favorite Soap

I can't help it. I'm still all about the Dawn soap when it comes to House Washing/Pressure Washing.

William, which Barlox are you using? I notice there are 5 or 6 different ones all with different bases.

Simple Cherry/bleach for houses

Potasium Hydroxide for gutters

Butyl/Sodium Hydroxide for greasy stuff or on oxidation. Even have used for some decks.

Oxalic for rust stains

Whats your mix Larry?

For what Nigel? My mix ratio's are all different depending on what I'm Cleaning. Roofs, Houses, Vinyl, Stucco, Block etc... There are always different variables for each application as well depending on the severity of mold, algae, dirt and bugs etc for all of the above. PLEASE don't make me list them all. I will be here all day. Hahaha! :thud:I will say that just about all my mixes contain SH (Bleach) and on certain jobs that require a bit of a kick, a sodium hydroxide is also added.

My favorite soap for House Washing is the Simple Cherry. When I am out there doing house cleaning or should I say exterior house cleaning then the Simple Cherry works great!

It has the rinse aids, emulsifiers, wetting agents, and all the other stuff that makes it work great. It does help hide the bleach smell some, I heard that the new blend of soap has more cherry scent to it to help hide the bleach smell better for house washing.

Rus, I guess I used barlox as a generic term. I still get a drum from Xterior occasionally but this is what I have been usin ghte most of recently.

I am sure that simple cherry and other products are great, but I need something I can mix once a week, won't break down bleach, and dissolves easily in a drum.

That is some good looking stuff William, how much is a drum of it?

I would like to give that a try for house cleaning, maybe it will do what I need for house washing. It might even work for roof cleaning.

Sounds like that stuff goes a long way.

Does it make a lot of suds/foam or just a little when downstreaming?

Thanks William.

Great info William, Thanks.

For a moderately filthy house wash, vinyl.
