Donald Trump - Who would vote for him?

Also I wonder if the curtain guy paid HIS suppliers for the materials? Or did they too agree to do work amounting to 80% of their business, hire dozens of new employees and ACCEPT payment terms that involve waiting over a year as well? Wonder if the curtain guy went bankrupt if you would blame him for ruining the lives of the raw material company employees.

I for one dont agree with waiting 30 days to get paid for my work let alone one year so I choose not to do commercial work. But we all make decisions, and like Bryan said if that one contract could sink your company maybe you think twice about taking it on.
 
Charlie, you can try to justify it all you like. The fact is Trump wanted a hotel in Las Vegas with his name on it. He didn't care what the cost was. He hired contractors to do the work and once it was finished just enough to open he went bankrupt and started a new corp. He then hired new contractors who worked a a slower pace for less money who are still working to finish the property today a little at a time. Meanwhile the hotel has been open and making money since the beginning.

Trump's guys strongarmed these contractors by promising higher returns for putting his work ahead of the line then paid them zero. I can't see how this could be anything but planned. It's been done over and over again by his organization to the point where banks are beginning to avoid him.

Have you ever thought that maybe he's played his hand as far as it will go and this sudden interest in politics is simply because he can see he's at the end of his rope?
 
I am up in the air with Trump. I don't like the games he plays with bankruptcy, it part of whats the matter with and has hurt this country. If Trump can't or just doesnt want to pay his bills he goes bankrupt. Wrong and sleazy to me. But he does know how to play the game of business so maybe a savvy guy like him would be good for our President. I am a little disappointed he picked up this Obama Birther stuff. Why doesnt he come out with facts and plans to set himself apart from other possible candidates

I want a clear plan, a sketch of what he or others would do to help this crummy go no where economy not all the political BS that Palin throws around. Give us a plan Trump, show leadership and then I and others just might think about you
 
I don't believe everything I read but I think Trump is a much better promoter than he is a business person. And he is a GREAT promoter especially of Donald Trump.

Wow, Scott, this isn't about emotion, it's about facts. If Trump was in competition with a drapery company and he put 39 workers out of business because he was a more savvy competitor I'd say MORE POWER TO HIM! But he puts people out of business by developing a bond of trust, hiring them to do work for him, then breaking that trust. Over and over again for the past 30 years. All the while he protects his own assets from seizure while the companies he bamboozled gets the shaft.

What is not "factual" about that?

He's not a competitor, he's an abuser of the system. Just like most politicians. So he will fit in well. Once he gets in government he can write all the bad checks he wants just like Congress does. It's an accepted way of business there. It's got to end somewhere :)
