Delevan nozzle

Hey Chris, what type of reel are you using to hold your chemical hose? I have a new delvan pump and 200 ft of half inch hose, i need a reel. I dont do many roofs anymore, but i do inject alot of degreser. But i want a reel that can handle caustic as well.

Thanks Russ, i think they are made here locally, in largo i belive? What is the cost on that reel?

Sorry I didn't see your post earlier Nick.

But Russ is correct, we only use Titan's.
I do use the 28 inch reel, but you can get by with a 24 or 26 for 1/2 inch hose.
I bought mine from some company in Clearwater, a pressure washing distributor, but shop around ?

Mark over at Titan and I have had several conversations about what we want in a Chemical reel.
He has just came out with a PVC swivel Nick!'
It is really cool, and has Viton O Rings.
He sent me one for Beta Testing a month ago.
It is on there, w/o problems, so far.

I honestly think the brass is just as good as the stainless swivel for Chlorine use, and cheaper.

If you have the room Nick, I kinda like a bigger reel.
Makes it easy to reel up without having to get the hose "just so".

Often, we are pressed for time, running all over funk cleaning roofs.
It is nice to just reel and go, and make it pretty at the end of the day.

I will come back after I have checked something out.

I just checked Nick, and at 20 percent sodium hydroxide concentration, Brass is just as good as Stainless!

Chemical Compatability Results

The Material Selected Brass
Interacting with the Chemical Sodium Hydroxide (20%)
Has a Compatibility Level of B-Good

Now, at 50 percent, you want stainless.

Of course, PVC is better yet!@

I am talking about swivels.

Hey, look at this Nick ?

Man, PVC is da way ta go.
It has an A Rating at 80 percent concentration too!!!

Let's see how the Viton O Ring looks with sodium hydroxide ??

Uh OH Nick .... NO Viton O Rings for YOU !

The Material Selected Vitonr

Has a Compatibility Level of D-Severe Effect

Viton is NOT good for Sodium Hydroxide !

Lets find a better O Ring Choice for you ?

Here is one - good old Buna N

Teflon O Rings would also be real good Nick, and EDPM too.

Just AVOID Viton, for YOUR use !

Here is the link to the Chemical Compatability Database Nick, so you can play for yourself.
