... had a think...
How can we as a group secure CVS Pharmacies as clients?
3 things to consider first:
I guess the ball is rolling with the first consideration of presenting them the problem - by providing the photographs and highlighting the current state of CVS locations, we are making them aware of an issue that may not have been known or have been top priority previously.
How do we give them a reason to use our services, sell maintenance and our benefits?
Ultimately, I think this is going to have to be done on a local level... however, with Ron's meeting with a CVS representative next month - there may be a chance for access to a directory of our own local DM's, or an opportunity for Ron to provide the 'recommended list of contractors' and evidence of the condition of stores in their service areas ----------- would they then contact us for bids, or shop knowing that there is likely to be a large pool of Pressure Wash Contractors interested?
I think Ron's meeting is a key factor for all of us who want to be involved - not in terms of Ron having any kind of responsibility for us and our success, but how receptive the representative will be to our 'national network' and how forthcoming they are with providing an opportunity for those who have made an effort to help them.
on a sidenote, I think this is where the industry would actually benefit from a strong, centralized body that has national recogntion and respect - where the members are a true representation of what professional pressure washing contractors should be. If we, as members, could proudly promote membership of an organization that maintains the highest of standards and indicates that we are a strong, structured industry - we could use this as a way to differentiate ourselves and help us sell 'as a group'.
There probably isn't or won't be a 'one size fits all' way of securing their business, but I guess we'll find out through local efforts and the results of Ron's meeting....
... just me humble thoughts, the stage is yours again ---------

3 things to consider first:
- They need to recognize that there is a problem, or deem it important enough to implement maintenance programs
- We need to give them a reason to use our services
- We need an opportunity to highlight the problem, sell the importance of maintenance programs and sell the benefits of our services.
