Chems(kitchen systems)

Depends on several factors. 1. How much chemicals do you purchase at one time? How much can you handle at one time? Like anything it depends on the volume of your use. I mix my own with caustic soda beads and I purchase 80 bags(50lbs) at one buy or two pallets.

The company that I purchase from is called Vopak and I am sure they have a center in Denver. They have trucks, drivers and they are good people. VoPak 1800-435-8705

I do the same thing with the beads, I buy them locally 50 lb bags.
David how much do you pay per bag, I pay about $34 per bag, I don't buy in bulk though. I used to spend over a $1000 a month for chemicals, now I use about 6 bags a month.

David, I thought you bought from Mt Hood Chemical in Portland. Give us more info on price & how much chemical used on a job, and the cost per job.

I got some antifreeze for sprinkler systems from Vopak. I was pleased w/the service. A week after my purchase, I got a follow up call, asking if I was pleased w/ the service and product.
E-spec never asked if I was pleased.

well about the usage I can only speculate about a dozen hoods per month ranging from 10-16 foot at this time with ducts from 6 to 20 foot so mabe you can help me with the math, O buy the way fans vary from 3 foot or so. and I dont have a clue about any mixes or caustics, but would really be iterested in learning so that mabe I can save some money other than purchasing powders or liquids. Tanks again you guys! Mikey WorldWash@msn.com

Thanks David I just went to there site and found a local distr. will call them in the morn, but also need to know what I am talking about unless they have experience with this type of mixture, if not what would the conversation begin with? Thanks Mikey

At 80 bags my cost is around $.47. The price goes up and down. Hard to get a handle on a set price. They are a very good company and you get 30 day terms.

David

David did I read that correctly $.47 a bag as in 47 pennies

No-that is the LBS cost.

Sorry

David

well, boys and girls, I am paying $1.11 per LBS.
