It is not the privledge to drive you are giving up, it is your right not to be detained without just cause.
Back to the "Drivers License". When you voluntarily accepts this contract (and it is a contract) you accept all the terms and conditions of said contract, which are codified in your State statutes. You are obligated to abide by everything associated with that contract. We can't change their rules which we agreed to abide by, but we can dispense with the contract. Warning, this is not recommended for the faint of heart or anyone that does not truly understand what is involved.
I'm having a hard time keeping this straight - Driving is a privilege ok, now what about roller skating? Is that a right? Walking - shoes or no shoes? Horse? Now what about in the future when we have flying cars - right or privilege?

It certainly is voluntary... no one dragged you down to the DMV and forced you to take a test and drive around the block. You did that voluntarily albeit in ignorance and without full disclosure.
