You guys in Texas use Mesquite Wood for BBQ ?
I like to BBQ.
It is interesting how different woods or mixtures of different woods effects taste!
One Sunday - I saw and smelled smoke coming from a BBQ joint.
The place was closed :(
I went around back.
The owner saw me and let me in.
He was BBQ ing for HIMSELF!
He used wood from Orange Trees !
It was real special tasting :)

He gave me a Tip.
Take Acorns and soak them in water for a day.
Then - add a few to your wood BBQ fire ?
The water soaked Acorns SMOKE like hell ;)
It adds a great smoked flavor to any BBQ.
