I do the paypal email invoice thing but it has a limit on how much per week you can transfer to your account or you can get a paypal debit card too. How often do you guys get cards? I mainly take them for out of town people only. Most locals pay me with a check.
We accept all major forms of credit cards. 1/3 of all residential clients pay with cards. Even a couple pretty big companies have used their Amex with me. Definitely a must have.
People seen to have an easier time spending money when they know they can put it on there credit card. Much easier to upsell our services as well.
when job is all complete they call our office and give the girls cc info. So simple!!
Paypal?
Thier dispute resoloution is terrible. If the charge is contested they remove the money from your account immediately until the dispute is resolved (up to 180 days) Even if the dispute is clearly in your favor the money sits with them. Also in thier user agreement you waive any protections under the consumer protection act.

Just go with a straight CC processer and pay the 3% thru a legit financial institution.
We find out how they are going to pay when we schedule the cleaning. We ask them if they will be home when we arrive to clean their home. If they are going to be home we charge them after the work is completed. If not we charge them before hand. So far every residential client that I have had has paid on time and promptly. Knock on wood....
