1995 7.3

Nope, but injectors will. It only takes one for it to run poorly. Let me guess, you start it and start heading down the road to Waffle House for your all the way hash Browns and Waffles in the morning, and would swear that your transmission is shot. After you go about 3/4 to a mile, it runs like a champ. That is what mine did, until I replaced 3 injectors for $1800...
No Ron, it isn't a shiny new one. It is 4 years old, and has 129,000 miles on it. I just try to keep it clean, waxed and away from employees.

NOPE, runs fine once it cranks:fie:

Sounds like the injectors are leaking while it sets. Injectors drip while they sit. Replace orings kits on injectors should cure it. After it clears out it runs fine. Cut the cat out. Some models didnt come with one. My 95 has 300k miles on it. Everything still works, ac etc. IT is just worn and used.

Run it like you stole it.

Also, with the pre 99.5 models, different hpop, computer, no intercooler, smaller turbo and the list goes on, lol. Some '00s and '01's DID have catalytic converters, my '02 does not. Someone could have removed one, if yours falls into those years, but doesn't have it..check the valve covers, it'll tell you if it needs it or not.

My '02 used to drag in the mornings, put two brand new interstates, and no matter how cold it is, it spins over so fast it sounds like it's going to sling the starter off! Also-when it's very cold out, I cycle the plugs twice..remember, even after the truck is started, the plugs continue heating for another couple minutes, they don't instantly shut off. When it's very cold, if I don't cycle them twice, it will fire, and then die...sound like I've got an .800+" solid roller cam in it, until it warms up, but the ole girl is very cold natured!

Mine's got 199k on it, still looks, drives, and runs better than new, and I pull heavy with it, and mine is decently heavily modded as well.

Russ, make a note to yourself. Water goes in the pressure washer, not in the truck fuel tank. I would blame it on a new employee...

found the problem! 8 gallons of water in the tank!

Well there ya go...plumb the the pump to your tank, what did you expect?:thumbup2:
