You can get a kit to convert it to a mosmatic swivel, plate and spray bar and then it will be very dependable and last a long time. I think Russ or Paul can get it for you.
I think you nailed it. I just tried to spin the arm and it spun for a few turns then got stuck. I can feel grinding, I guess it's time for a new swivel. Any idea what the price is on a mosmatic conversion kit?If it stopped I'm guessing the bearings are toast. Even though there is no grease fitting - it still needs grease. Silicone grease only.

Ralph, I'll call you when we open to discuss your options.
I would stay away from the hammerhead swivel, I would buy the mosmatic conversion kit or another brand kit, it would be nice if someone had an adapter plate to use a whisper wash swivel on the hammerhead swivel. Maybe the mosmatic plate would work?
I have 2 of those surface cleaners sitting in my back yard because of the cheap swivels they come with (these had the grease fittings and were greased a lot but still failed) and in my opinion not commercial quality.
I have not done the kit yet since I have the other Steel Eagle, Mosmatic and Whisper Wash surface cleaners to use.
Whats His Options ?
Rebuild the one that's on it.
Replace it with another Hammerhead swivel.
Adapt a Mosmatic to it.

Hey Ralph! What are you using to push your hammerhead? (gpm/psi)?
Hey CL. I have a 3000 psi 5 GPM right now. I am trying to save up for an 8 gpm machine, but every time I start to build some capitol, something happens (like the phone stopped ringing a few weeks ago!) . I got another surface cleaner at Northern Tool. I went to buy another Hammerhead, but they were out of stock all over the area. Had to get a Northstar. How's your Northstar holding up? I hope this thing lasts a while since it costs $675!
