"Orura" above is supposed to be spelled ogura (sorry)

Interesting the general pump clutch is rated for almost the same torque specs, general is 75-95 ft-lbs after burnishing, I wonder how that translates to HP.....Paul?

why cant the general pump clutch work, the max torque on the engine is almost half the clutch torque capacity?

Good info Nigel, thanks.

I wonder if the manufacturer would know if you contacted them and told them the application?

Not sure why they say 18 hp max on the clutch but that is what GP rates them at. I will have John look at that other one.

I don't believe they use the clutch on the lawn mowers to drive the hydraulics they are always on, I think they just use the clutch on the deck.

Clutch update...Per John Allison

That is the exact clutch that we are using and according to the manufacturer it is only rated for 18 hp.

John is having a special "Allison Iron Horse" clutch built that will handle up to 30 hp and will only be available through Envirospec, but it will be 4-6 weeks before it is available.

Thanks Paul,I thought it was the same thing, the specs are to much alike, and besides general pump is in the bussiness of making pumps not clutches.

there is one form that manufacturer that is rated for 175 ft.lb with the 24mm bore.

looking up part #

here it is.

not one 5.6 but TWO runing on the same engine, 11.2 gpm it would be a step up from 8.5!!

I'm with you. However 11 gpm won't go thru 3/8's hose and I don't want anything to do with 1/2. Thanks for the info on the clutch. I'll see what Paul has. I'd rather support him than some company I don't know. Not sure if I am sold on the clutch yet but would like to try a few.
