Regarding buying tools and equipment, I think most people buy the best they can afford within their budget. Unfortunatly everyones budget and markets are differant. We adjust as we can.
As far as the insurance referance, most insurance salesman are very persistant and quite succesful at what they do. I think they are tought to keep on until you hear three no's.
