Anybody have one of their machines. Most are around $8500 and from what their sales staff says, "They are built to last 10+ years...the framework that is".

I am also Currently, working with Local Landa Dealer for a couple PGHW's. So if anybody has a Landa machine, please speak up.

Which one are you talking about because I have their catalog and don't see any in there for $8,500? Their fire cannons run around $5,000. I was wondering just like you about their machines. I am not too familar with udor pumps. At the time I was looking at getting one of their hydro cannons and adding a fire cannon heater on it. I liked the idea of being able to disconnect the heater when not using it. Total price would be $4,200.

Do you mean the 2003? Because it just turned 2003. I was going off the old 2002 catalog.

I bought my last hot water machine form Silver Eagle in Cut and Shoot, Texas. It was a 5.5 gpm 3500 psi machine. It is propane and I really would like to get something that ran off diesel. Lugging the propane tanks around can be a hassle and hazradous. I paid $4,000 for the machine and that wasn't too bad.

I just went to look at their online catalog but couldn't find any pricing. It does look like they have upgraded their stuff from the previous year. i like it that they use general and ar pumps. I have had very good luck with AR. Where did you get the prices for their new machines?

ok I found the list prices but where are the sell prices?

gunn man

i see your wash unit on ebay every day.
Dont know if LARGO will still honor the sale price but anyone that can beat a hot water skid with a 18 hp engine and 3000 psi at 5.5 gal per min for $3100
i would like to see it.

By the way, especs PW prices for contractors are discounted 30% from price in catalog.

...and his service is discounted 50%!

just go

to the web site i posted in my post above.
that trailer set-up you see with electric breaks is about $7500
that is with the 18 hp upgrade.
I have yet to see a rig like this at a price like this EVER.
fOR ANOTHER $500 you could get the heavy duty trailer with room for 2 wash units and a 500 gal tank.
They now make them with either stand-up burners[like in the pic] or the lay down type[easy to get to the burner]
Tanks could be bigger-that's my only complaint.
The couple of times i needed help they put me on the phone with the guy who builds them. Walked me through what i needed to do.
replace wear parts.
im happy but this is the only unit ive ever used, except karcher.
I have no use for a karcher.

i have had it

for 2 years[going on 3] and i am/was only part time.
avg. 20 hrs per week.
i dont really understand why some say some are better then others when the part's are all the same.
That is if you compare the same psi, gpm, pump, and burner.
What is left besides the paint and frame?
All welded and powdercoated no crappy hardware
They could make it easyer to tighten the belts but i only tightened them once and they get replaced as soon as it get's above 32 deg. lol

The difference is in the details. Yes, they all use simiar components but that is where it ends.

There are differences in how the components are sized for the job, the quality of all of the pieces used, the safety engineering that went into the choices, the safety certifications paid for, volume, profit margin, R&D, and so on. This is why there are vehicles like the Yugo and the Rolls-Royce. They are essentially the same. The difference is in the details.

I would tend to agree with ronp about the components. I've wondered the same thing. I mean, if you have an 18 HP Honda Engine, or a B&S, or a Vanguard, that's what you have regardless of who installed it on the powerwasher frame...Same would apply for the pump and other components...The comparison to automobiles doesn't really apply...You don't have different washer manufacturers putting in their own engines and pumps...There's no "Yugo" pump or powerwasher engine. Well, maybe there is, but from what I've seen, there are 3 or so quality engines that most of the manufactuerers use...What else about a washer makes it of better quality than another other than those key components that most manufacturers use...??? What makes a Landa with an 18 HP B&S engine and a 3000psi 5gpm general pump better than a Tuff washer with an 18 HP B&S engine and a 3000psi general pump?

The automobile comparison is way off. If you were comparing Chevy to Pontiac same type model that would be more in line. The engines and drivetrains are interchangeable on some models. A Yugo and a Rolls Royce parts are not interchangeable. The MAIN DIFFERENCE in pressure washers (with the same engines & pumps) is the company that sold it to you. The way they take care of problems with the equipment is what you need to look at. Like" will they take care of you or just give you a number to call and blow you off". Think of it like buying a truck. You can buy a basic or a fully loaded one. Dealer and options are what you should compare.
