Haha I hate rock bags. I have been so tempted to call the people who throw them and tell them to come get their garbage out of my driveway. But, that would just tip them off that I opened it and read their ad. My wife is a graphic designer. She is working on a card for me and I believe a mailing list. Better go check. Thanks

I've been using door hangers from 123print.com. I put them in the flag at the mail box. They seem to work good.

This is beautiful. Door hangers works well. they are attractive.

Does anyone put ads in HOA newsletters. They use to work great for me and then once the ad came out I would send postcards and sometimes put some door hangers out. Of course when jobs started coming in in a neighborhood I would have lawn signs. By the time I did a few houses many of the homeowners had seen my name a few times at least

I use to pay anywhere from $6 - $50 a month or quarterly to be in some of these HOA newsletters. Some of the bigger neighborhoods now have a service that they hire for getting advertisers in newsletters and they are more expensive now, but I think worth it. I use to love retirement neighborhoods or middle to upper middle class neighborhoods. If you are in an area with HOA newsletters get in them. Just drive through a neighborhood and ask a resident if they have a newsletter in their neighborhood. I had a guy say give me a good price on my house and he will give me the entire list of all addresses with names and the newsletter.

Most here dont allow it, very protective. But there are many ways to get names and addresses for neighborhoods. But I see your point, getting in with the HOA directly could be hugely beneficial.

Great Idea Jeff. Augment the ad in the HOA news letter with a free cleaning of the community clubhouse and have them write an article on that.

Hey Jeff. It is a superb idea. Thanks for sharing.

I have recently been advertised as the preferred service provider in two different HOA newsletters. I email Realtors and HOA's probably every month or so. It looks like spring will bring a good bit of work from them after our sales meeting we just had with them.
