I don't think I owe Russ an apology at all. I just say it as I see it. Like I told Ron today I think it was terribly wrong for Russ to "Throw Carlos under the bus" like the way he did in that post. Plain and simple and its clear as day. I never thought Russ would do something like that and I am still surprise he did.
I re-read my post as I did his and I don't take anything back that I said. I think Russ would be a great teacher but I had a gut feeling he was not really for the UAMCC and to have someone teach there that doesn't believe in the org. then its a tough sell in my mind. So I stand on that. It doesn't make Russ any less for it its just a difference of Opinion I had on that so thats why I posted that. On this one I think My gut reaction was the right one because of what happened now on this post. This would have been much worse if we Had Russ on as a speaker and he came out with this post which I think is extremely unaccurate and down right damaging because of what some people will take out of it..like the Off Duty Fireman here and Christopher and some others.

Russ and the Uamcc dont fit together. it is as simple as that. I dont know what either of their intents was, could have been an honest mis call on their behalf.

John, I dont worry about stuff like that, me and you have always been ok and will be ok.
We cant always agree and we wont, thats what makes the world intresting, we must though have a system of checks and balances, like you I made a judgement call, I called it the way I saw it and I will stand behind my feelings just as well, I omitted some stuff so that the appearance would not be personal because its not.
However I said what I said and I feel the same if not more so now that some other things have transpired that have since come to my attention.
Good luck to the industry and you too (John) old buddy! I appreciate you and your willingness to say what you believe in and I will always respect you for that.

I don't understand why you guys have to be like that. Why does everyone who disagrees have to be the enemy? I know you think I'm your enemy too Jeff, but heck I respect your work and respect you and have stated so many times.

Rus isnt my enemy, I am wondering why he didnt do what he said he was going to do. It wasnt that hard to take two calls like he said he would. Well let me put it this way Tony, I feel like Russ lied to me and I wanted to duiscuss it with him. I always take his calls I just thought he would follow through on something and now i just don't really care
Tony personally I dont think you are an enemy of mine, I know that isnt the fact at all. Now do i think you are an over zelous PITA on many things yes, but enemy of Jeff, no way dude. I still can drink a beer with a PITA as long as I know things arent bad personally

Me and Jeff are not the issue, Jeff believes in what he is doing and I respect that, I just have a difference of oponion.
I will try to keep it simple, This between Carlos and I was nothing more than a backroom deal to entice me to join, I do not feel malice was involved but my question to myself made it clear to me, I asked myself what if I were a paying member and this was done behind my back, how would I feel?
Makes me question other things, if I question things I dont trust them.
Does this mean I dont trust the Jeff, No because I do but Jeff, Ken, Michael ect. are limited to what they know. Yeah we can spend all day on the phones going back and fourth but this makes it all come to a head. (Always has) Its a board organization and the BBS is a transparent world, we put ourselves under the microscope for EVERYONE to look at.

I turned my phone off shortly after I made the post, I could not keep up with the phone ringing, I only spoke with 3 people yesterday morning then I left for the road trip to Georgia (so I was not "working" the phones), I talked to Trey about 11pm last night so I could try to run Roger down while he was working in Atlanta. I didnt even know they were involved in the thread until Trey told me, Roger and I spoke breifly about the subject but mostly about work while standing in the parking lot of a center we were cleaning.

I heard that $300 was for a WHOLE bld wash as high as 2+ stories, drive thru, all window wash, all sidewalks, parking lot and Dumpsters and fixtures. All with reclamation/ filtration and we have to buy and fill out the local permits if needed, which could cost MORE than $300 in some areas.
Now Russ says it's less.... $225... for all that work?
With driving time, gosh that would be several, several of hours for 1 man.
So let me understand this...
I do all this work.... spend 1 day driving around getting the permits which COULD cost me more than I am getting paid.....
work for 1/2 day,
pay 10% for wear and tear of my equipment,
gas / diesel would be $30+.
Insurance for the day is about $7.00....
oh ya this is looking good -134.50 if I have to buy the permits.
If permits are free, then 165.50 for 4 hours of work or $41.38 an hour...
if you have two guys or takes you longer....
Everyone that I know who made under $75 an hour is bankrupt.

Russ was stating a fact, plain and simple. You are not calling Russ a LIAR are you? I don't think he would like that or anyone else.
It did not sound like Russ threw Carlos under the Bus, just stated FACT, you can interpret and spin it how you like.
How can you think what Russ said is "extremely unaccurate and down right damaging" if he was just stating a fact, the truth? You were not there neither was I when he was talking on the phone. I believe Russ, he has integrity and does not try to change or spin things around.
So are you saying that all the speakers for the Orlando event have to be uamcc members, even the keynote speaker?????? Think about what you said, that just sounds silly. That is like saying that the guy giving the keynote speach cannot do the speech unless he joins the organization.

Lots of people can teach or speak at events, most of the time speakers are not members of some organization.

I was asked to do a 45 min presentation at the event in Orlando as a non-member, so I dont think you would have to be to speak.
No Joe, possibly a different direction. They may need to start listening to contractors, since its a contractor for contractor org.
