There are pro's and con's for both hiring a professional as well as doing it yourself.
Here I have a list of con's on both sides.
Cons - Do it yourself
- You could damage your property, etch your would concrete etc. Use the wrong chemicals and damage your surfaces. You could blow the seals on your windows, cause damage behind siding resulting in mould and mildew growth, overspray damaging surrounding property. These are just a few things that could go wrong.
- Injury, there is a good chance that you could injure yourself. This could happen by falling off of a ladder, cutting yourself with the pressure from your spray, tripping over hoses, spilling dangerous chemicals on yourself or young children getting into them.
- Time spent. This is time that you could instead be spending with your family or friends, fishing, going to the beach or shopping to name a few.
Cons - Hire a professional
- It will cost you more money than power washing it yourself.
- Time spent finding a quality professional exterior cleaner that you can trust to do it for you.
