We just watched the interviews with the Navy Seals that played in "Act of Valor".

I am going to make a prediction. This country will come to civil war. The nation is too split with two completely opposing viewpoints.

When that happens our only chance is turning the military and fine, intelligent men like those Seals to the right side.

The police will follow the will of the government en masse to the point of killing and imprisoning their own relatives just like the civil war.

The police have already shown that they have no regard for the constitution, but blindly enforce laws that contradict it.

The police hold in their power the ability to STOP this new civil war if they would REFUSE to enforce laws that circumvent our rights. But they won't. As a group they are cowards and will do nothing unless it benefits them personally.

I will make a GUARANTEE that this country and every other country will experience way more than what you described, Tony.

I will be the first to admit that our country is on the wrong path. There are also bad cops. They are in the minority. I was law enforcement. My wife was law enforcement. I know at least a hundred cops. They put on their pants the same as we do and go to work and do their job. Cops enforce laws. If you don't like the laws they enforce then do something about it. Vote out thoe ones that make the laws you don't like. Cops enforce the laws they are sworn to uphold and they are the bad guys. Cops don't enforce the laws they are sworn to uphold and they are the bad guys. Can't win. It seems like Las Vegas has more than it's share of bad cops, but it is a city of sin, what do you expect? It is not the norm. No more than people like Gamble are the norm among pressure washers. A small percent has the power to make more look bad. The military is the gov't the same as the police, even more so. I do not see civil war. Our country has never had a civil war and I don't see one in the future. Just my take.
 
My family has 3 generations of LE, William. I know there are some good ones, but they let the bad ones slide and you know it. There is no excuse for that.

We can't change the laws any more than Paul Revere and John Adams could. Voting has no power anymore. You can't change things when neither party wants change. The status quo is too profitable and they like it.

It"s hard to reason with the older generation like my mom because they still believe the word of a cop is gold and everybody is going to die of aids. They are in denial as to what the country has turned into.

And please, don't make out like this is a Vegas problem. I've got the night off, I could post murders by cops all over the US.

William, if your friends are such good policemen how about posting up all the instances where they turned in bad cops and got them fired.

No, that's just what they like to make it out as.

A civil war is when two groups fight for control of a govt. In the War for Southern Independence the we left to start out own country, but the Yankees put up such a fit about it that we felt bad and came back.

Tony, imagine how bad this country would be without the moral compass of the south to guide it...
 
Slavery was on its way out anyway.

Northerners have always tried to force their way on everybody else and they did it because they had the money to buy it.

It is no different now. Chicagans are just displaced New Yorkers just like Southern Florida. California is run by New Yorkers who fly back and forth to NY.

Together the pack themselves into large cities and take over the politics of the nation with all their votes. Just like what God warned us about in Babel.

Texas could be a powerhouse but its got its share of nimrods who think they are high society Eastern Californians.

What is left is a scattered band of patriots in the middle tossed around in the political wind.

We have no way out of this.

Except properly identifying the plague that is destroying our country, but of course, they were here at it's founding too. The enemy of humanity is easy to single out. Nobody has the guts to do it.
