Your favorite Country Song(s)

Maybe dates me but it's the most powerful video I've seen. Johnny Cash with Hurt. An unlikely marriage of country and NIN shot just prior to his and his wife's death. Released after his wife's death. From the videos of his Arkansas childhood home, to his mother's portrait, to his wife ascending a staircase. It's a prophetic look at the torture of his life and his final grasp of his mortality. Right down to the closing of the piano keyboard. It's not just a video but a life lived. As you guys get older it will become more important.

Good one Jeff, Alan's one that I consider a true country artist. You won't hear one of his songs with an added up-tempo beat on r&b stations.

Here's a classic country artist for you guys, 'The Gentle Giant' Don Williams one of my all-time fav's.

Thanks, we should never forget that one. I dedicate that song to my good friend Frank who perished along with 3000 others.

I have never been into any country music. Some Hank Jr is always cool, my wife & kids listen to some I like 1 or two that are popular but I have always liked Johnny Cash. I only heard some of his last stuff and want to get it and listen to it all. What I heard was just so real. Johnny Cash was is a true legend

I just hate "pop-country". In the words of Hank Williams III, Pop Country Really Sucks!
