X-Jetters

Nate, DS, DS, DS,....Load your tank up with SH and add plenty of surfactant for sticking. Down Stream your mix using a 0040 or 0030 for the higher peaks. Like David O said, give it a little time to dwell. While rinsing all the dead mold residue off the building/house on the way back around just rinse the plants and bushes off as well. I've never killed any plants or bushes by ds'ing. this will make your life a whole lot easier and faster.

David or Larry or Both

What GPM's are you using when you are D/S roofs. Larry I thought you used a chemical pump....more info on your equipment would help....thanks
4gpm's on the pwer, and I have a surflow system and a gas powered for applying chems directly out of my talks for roof cleaning and other applications when needed. For House Washing I ds everything 98% of the time. I only do straight out of the tanks for house washing when all else fails. They would have to be REAL nasty or sometimes for a paint prep.

Hey Larry, what injector are you using,....and how many feet are you able to get good draw?

Jeff
I'm using the same one that came with the machine. I believe it's a GP injector. I keep 250ft on my reel and never have a problem pulling chems. I've had to put 300ft on for a few Cleaning jobs and noticed a slight decrease but was still able to pull pretty darn good.. Not sure about anything over that as I've never tried.

We use a UDOR for roofs. We DS all wall cleaning / house washing.
I was just pointing out that acccording to the chart that Nichole posted for the X-Jet that it is possible to get a shingle strength roof cleaning chem on the roof. I think that the lowest GPM was .8 water to 1 something in chemical

OPEN .8-1 is on the sheet for a 2 GPM PW

2gpm? That would take forever to clean a large roof. But it does sound possible.

All we do is X jet and very rarely hurt anything.

I donyt know the ratios but we canged our Xjets a long time ago to 1/4 fittings and hose instead of the 3/8ths

The reason and like I said I dont know the ratios but with the smaller 1/4 inch stuff, it doesnt empty out a 5 gallon bucket as quick, but still gets the strength we like, a whole lot less filling of an Xjet bucket. The 1/4 in barbs and hose makes a difference

We put in anywhere from 1 to 2 gallons of 12% some soap and fill the 5 er and Xjet like crazy. We prewet everything real fast, and rinse quick after

The soap makes all the difference in allowing you to reduce the concentration of your bleach-The surfactants in the cleaner help to let it dwell on the surface longer. Plus the soaps lift and release the dirt and other pollutants from the surface that bleach alone does not.

no plants killed in 3-4 yrs of cleaning..... I use SH very strong and run x-jet wide open wit a 5gpm machine. Rinsing is key I rinse plants with cold and wash siding with heat. If you have a dual lance it should turn to cold water when you turn down your pressure. I just constantly rinse rinse rinse.....

Ok I love my x-jet. However, I am still trying to find that perfect, non-plant killng and one app solution to clean these nasty houses. I have been mixing...well yesterday I mixed 1:1 15% SH and threw in some detergent. I get mixed results and I am TERRIFIED of killing another plant. (even with min of constant drowning of the plants.) Throw some reccomendations out PLEASE!!!

You ever Decide

JL Xjets roofs. Im not sure how to get a strong enough solution w/ an xjet though.
We x-Jet some roofs and start with SH straight mixed with Dawn. This is for lightly stained roofs. Its fast!
