X-jet vs chem pump

So cleaned a nasty beast today. This house was pretty big took 60 gallons of mix at 50% SH and just enough SH to finish. Rinsed with a pw and ds nozzles. Is there an advantage using the x-jet over a chem pump on nasty build up - algae and lichen ?
The homeowners were happy having their lower roofs cleaned for free thou.
