Amerowash did indeed buy the X-Jet from one of our Distributors who is also his parts supplier. It is the original nozzle and a perfectly legitimate purchase. We appreciate Steves business.

You're probably right, Mike.
Do you know if there is a target date for Nationwide Direct Connect this year?
How about a Nationwide audio bulletin board service? Naa.
Not sure on the date for nationwide direct connect.........I think thats a great idea, but I could do without a bunch of people buzzing in on my phone all the time..........
back to the original...
what is the correct size orfice for a 5 gpm, 3000 psi machine?
I have a 12 and it seems to be overspraying more than it should. Mistakenly used the same size with a 4 gpm machine, same psi and it seemed to work better, who's got the CORRECT asnwer.
5gpm/3000psi takes a 6.0 tip. With a 12, you are putting out approx. 600 psi. A 12 on a 4/3000 would give you approx 400psi. (A 4.5 would give you 3000.)
Here is a link to well laid-out chart. Nozzle Chart
Mike,
You are one size too small. You need a # 13 for a 5 gpm pump. This will open the flow and reduce the pressure.
John,
The X-Jet has an interchangable, internal orifice inside the barrel and we match the orifice size to the pressure and gpm of the pump. The high pressure nozzles are a different application.
Nice nozzle chart.
Sorry for the delay in thanking you for your help. My X-JET is working fine now and I appreicate your time and help. Waiting for the BBQ sauce too. I'm still trying to save for a surface cleaner so I'll be back Earl ( Doug) Johnson
