Moving forward, I like the idea of a paid forum.

I'm sure this means it should be worth the money. Free is Free, the old saying you get what you pay for.

Concrats. just alittle over a year and moving forward.

Goodluck Greasers,

You guys have not seen TGP stop in and take a look. Lots of great information on the BBS. They like to have alot of fun also.

OMG Now this board is advertising for the Greasey Police. Stepford Greasers.

Ed, Its not and ad. They have moved forward and starting charging for the BBS.

I personally reguardless of past differences think its a step forward.

If you think about it PWI has a forum for Grease. Its free, it has good info on the industry. If your going to charge you need to be different and offer somthing you cant get for free.

Sorry but I have been banned from fred astaire ballroom dance classes too.

Eds still pissed cause hes the only one thats ever been banned.

I hope your proud of that, frankly rog I hate that people get banned any place.

Its not good for anyone.

Let just keep the banned part out of his question. It appears you guys are doing fine without Ed or myself.

Good luck with the future.

Thanks Ron...

The Grease Police are changing the industry. We are getting emails and calls about things from other orgs that are definitely moving this industry forward. It's great to see organizations like CHDCA and IKECA and others setting the example, which is what we at the GP set out to do. We never meant to compete with these guys in anyway, just want them to hold their members accountable, and it's starting to happen.

It brings a greasy tear to my eye...oh crap, I need to get in the shower, I'm dirty.

You, You, hate me Ron? Aghhhhhhhhh NooooooOOOOOooooooo
I am heartly sorry for having offended thee. My only intent was to express my opinion which is often not the middle of the road. I say the things many people are afraid to. Why you may ask? This site has quite a few posters that say the same things. Like a bunch of chimps grooming each other. I would think opposing viewpoints would be taken as ....at least, something to think about. You all may say that opposing viewpoints are accepted but not really. You have to stay in line or you get attacked.
Look at my first post. I stated the obvious, to me. Now you hate me and Ron , as usual is unable to stay on point. Must be ADD, OR ADHD.
Same poo poo, different day.

I owe it all to My Boys at the GP. See when you learn how to do it right the first time there is no other way...it was really difficult but once you pass through boot camp its a lot easier. :D

Lets see I started cleaning Vent Hoods in 1991 so that would mean almost 18 years.. Hmmm I should be really good.. I remember a time back in my 20's when I could do 2 hood cleanings in one night and then do fire extinguisher inspection all the next day.., I must admit at 42 years old I can still work about 12 hours per night and day.. I just hurt a little worse than I used too.. I am still coming up with new Ideas to make the cleanings easier..
Yesterday a buddy of mine that he and I used to work together in 1994 we were talking about how we used to have the little whitco stinger electric machines and used to roll them out of the trailer , plug them in at the back door of the restaurants and then go in and clean with 1000 psi@ 2gpm.. It seems funny that we made almost 100,000 dollars in a year just using the little whitco machine.. I remember complaining about Diesel fuel being 1.50 or so a gallon.. So now everyone around us is a little older, the old hood cleaning guys that I knew are retired or just gone, now I have taken there place , we also have the new guys starting up in Mississippi.. I had a guy come by and talk to me for 2 hours last week asking about how he should set up his new Landa machine and all...
I guess the big question remains where will we be in 10 years ?
Where will the young guys be in 10 years ?
I told the guy that stopped by , when he ask for a piece of advise as far as sales and business go... " you can buy everything you need to clean vent hoods ,except for a good reputation,, you have to earn it.."

In 10 years we will be right smack in the middle of straightening out our economy from the trainwreck election 6 years earlier.

10 years is quite a long time....by that time the remote no-line foamer should be perfected, and we will be cleaning hoods from the comfort of our recliners.
