Would you take on a partner?

A friend of mine has offered me a partnership in his business which makes alot more than my business. His business is in a different field and it is truly a cash cow of a business. There are reasons why he offered me this partnership and that offer more or less has been on the table for a couple of years between us.

So once again he is asking me if I'm interested. OF course if I did enter a partnership with him my Dodge Dually and trailer would be absorbed into the business. I would have to liquidate my PW's etc.

It would be expensive to get in but the end result no doubt makes it worth it. Money to me is the bottom line and thats why I entertain his offer every year. This offer is not made to anyone else because Him and I get along great and our families are friendly.

My dilemma would be 1. I love my business and 2. Is being a partner a deadly mix when owning a business.

So what would you do if someone offered you a partnership in a co. that you know makes alot more profit then your own co. Would you do it?

It would be a good way to end a good family to family relationship!

A partnership to me is like a marriage. You need to become one in order for it work long term. Are you ready to make that type of commitment? Is He?

Remember family is always more important than money!
