Workday Tutorial — Is It Enough to Learn the System?

I’ve started going through a Workday tutorial on my own, but the system feels huge. Do you think tutorials are enough to actually understand Workday, or do I need formal training to get anywhere?

I get what you mean — diving into Workday on your own feels massive and a bit overwhelming when you start. Tutorials are useful to get familiar with the interface and basic processes; for example, the free guide at workday tutorial helped me map out navigation and core modules. But in my experience, tutorials alone rarely get you fully “work-ready.” You’ll likely need formal training — or better, some hands-on experience — to really understand workflows, edge cases and how different modules connect.

Agree. Tutorials help you get comfortable, not become an expert. For deeper stuff like business processes, security groups, or integrations, structured training or hands-on sandbox access is a must. But as a first step? Tutorials are definitely helpful and way less intimidating.
