Wonder how fast this needs to sell

I saw the price and thought maybe it was a brand new truck with a nice new enclosed trailer. Then I saw it was a $8000 truck and a $12000 trailer setup. Some of these new rigs I have seen should be selling for almost 100k. I asked how many contracts and work it came with and he said just truck and equipment. I laughed in the phone a lil bit.

What sort of rig can you set up for 2,200 and get 18,000? I'll do that all day long.

It's all in the marketing.

My trailer that I'm putting together is at about $3300 with a 5x8 enclosed trailer, 4gpm 4000psi belt drive washer, 18" surface cleaner, cox reel with 200' of hose, 55 gallon buffer tank, 100' supply hose, 2 guns with downstreaming nozzles and chemicals. I also have extra parts and am mostly setup for residential and some light commercial.

Let's say I put the same package together with a new trailer (mine is used) and market it as a money maker complete with a slick package of glossy instructions on how to make it big in the industry. I could sell each rig for triple of what my cost is no problem. Templates for a website, doorhangers and catchy business names will be included as an added bonus while supplies last. Because I am such a nice person.

Why? Because there are millions of people out there looking for the next big thing..... But they won't do any research on whether it will work or not. They will gladly suck up whatever they are told though and I would gladly capitalize on that. I will also have my buddies waiting eagerly with cash soon after to buy that equipment back ass cheap not long after when they go broke or give up out of frustration.

Is that the right thing to do? Nope. But people do it anyway.

The washing part of this business is easy, but what a lot of new guys don't understand is there's much more to a pressure washing business than just equipment. Like what are you going to focus your business on, have you researched it? Is it feasible in your market? Will your market support your business? What's your marketing plan? How do you plan to reach out to your demographic?

All of this and more needs to be taken into account before getting into this business...equipment will almost be last on the list.

Have A Plan!

I'm wondering why there is a picture of the flatbed tow truck in one of the pictures with the bed tilted. That right there raises some questions for me. If he can find a sucker to give him $55,000 for it then good for him.

That is a lot of money and I am sure a lot of people will have sticker shock.

They should sell the trailer separate from the truck, probably have better luck selling the trailer for a reasonable price and the truck as well.

I was thinking the same thing, maybe it's a repo?
