Im sure at one or more points in the day were all guilty of doing the unsafe way, were pushed hard to get the job done so fast. Sadly it takes someone loosing there life to remind us to slow down and be safe. Be safe everyone! enjoy the holidays with your families!

Good job Chris! Is the articulated ladder Cert only good for articulated ladders. We don't even own those type of ladders. Wouldn't a general ladder safety Cert be more beneficial or does the ALI not offer that. OSHA use to but I don't know if they still do. I'm not certified anymore but I am educated on ladder safety after working in the construction industry for 30 yrs. Everybody that puts a foot on a ladder should be educated about ladder safety.

Everyone should be educated on ladder safety, and most of us do know how to use ladders safely... It's when we make the decision to simplify or quicken our process by using a ladder incorrectly that puts us in danger. Even if everyone took a safety course, and were professionally trained and certified in ladder safety there would still be incident. It could be from accidental human error, or negligence. You can't prevent all accidents, but you can try to eliminate most of them.
Two things I add to every ladder are stabilizers and levelers. Combined with proper ladder safety and handling, make your workday much safer. With the minimal cost to add these tools to your ladder, it's a no brainer for most of us in the industry.

They offer all type of ladder certs. I took articulated because that's what I use. I like the options it gives me.

I recently switched solely to articulating ladders. I'm not fluid on ladders and was laughed at by coworkers at construction company I worked for. Didn't bother me though, was all about making it to the next day safely.
For me the stability and space savings outweighs the extra setup time, and extra weight of them. And since I'm uneasy with ladders, I'm even adding leg levelers to them haha.
