Got a used winco generator the other dya for my whitco machine ,, I thru away my old pulley.. The two bearing winco generaor is supposed to turn 3600 rpm ... I dont have my old pulley but I think it was around 2 inches.. I need to turn this thing a 3600 rpm so if my motor turns at 3600 rpm wouldnt I use the same size pulley that is on my motor... Man I am getting tired of the 2 extra seconds it takes me to find a plug in for my burner on every job..

Yes. Or 1 size smaller, as the engines usually turn closer to 3,400 rpms.

Hey Russ I got to go get one of these tommorrow because at 3000 psi this starts dripping I have tried adjusting it but to no avail.. I also get a wierd spike At 2700 psi ( Spike at 3400psi) at 3000 psi (Spike at 3500 psi ) at 3100 psi relif valve pops off but the spike for a split second is around 3300 psi.. The preesure relief valve is 3/8's male thread on one end and has a allen screww type of adjustment but no matter where I turn the allen screw it drips or pops off... Also I found the pulley for my generator it is about 3 inches I think its 2 7/8 inch pulley ... Well time to play with the machine tommorrow ...

This will be the 3 rd preesure regulator in 4 months.. And I am running the machine at around 2800 psi with a spike at 3500 psi... I forgot to mention we jus rebuilt the TS-1511 about 3 weeks ago.. I had to replace the center ceramic piston because it had a hairline crack in it.. Also when I let off the wand I lose pressure ( 2800 psi trigger pulled in ) ( then realease trigger and it spikes to 3500 psi.. Then as I watch the guage the pressure drops to almost 2600 psi and then it revs back to 3500 spiked >>> it does this within about 1 to 2 min with trigger closed.. When I pull the trigger it runs fine at 2800 psi steady... Now if I leave the trigger closed for more than 3 or 4 minutes I have to keep opening and closeing the trigger a few times to let it build up pressure then its smooth running again... Man this thing is driving me crazy... Maybe I should replace everything from the unloader all the way to the water tank... Except the pump of course..

BTW did you see the price on those winco 2000 watt generators new ( Sort of a rip off on price ) Cheapest one I found was 425.00 ... I still dont know if the used one I have is goib=ng to work .. I am going to get it going tommorrow... If it doesnt work I guess we will go to the growler and check the armature first... and customers wonder why real pressure washer companies charge more money than the cheap guys... WHEW GO FIGURE>>>

Try taking the unloader valve apart, and see if there is any debris in it. I had a pressure surging problem once, and the cause was something stuck in the unloader.

I will give it a shot... I took it apart a while back and put it back together and it seemed to work a little better for a while.. I also think it is possible that my water holding tank on the whitco could have some rust and debris in it and it is running thru the lines also... The water tank built on to the whitco is a little rusty and it used to have a mesh filter in it that I believe has long been dissolved by the high chlorine content of jackson mississippi's water.. But just for the sake of getting it right before we go south for 2 weeks cleaning I am going to the pressure washer place today and have someone take a look at it... ... Plus I got one of those wild looking unloaders its got the spring on the outside attached to a stem with a nut on it and the another back up nut.. The inside has an o-ring and a ball and nothing else... I guess it looks like maybe I will buy an unloader today also ...
As for the place I am going it is called Industrial steam cleaners in Jackson , they are pretty smart when it comes to fixing these things but they are expensive as hell.. Last time I went I spent 30.00 on 2 ss nozzles for my surface cleaner... Well anyways got to go get ready to go fix the machine..

3600 rpm gives you 9v
try no pully on the generator side and maybe you can get about 85 volts!

I think the armature is shorted out on this one also... I tried flashing ((9v battery on hot and neutral to flash as I was told )) and still nothing .. I am getting about 12 volts... So here it goes I can get a winco generator head (New for 425.00 ) or I can buy a generator new motor and all for 450.00 with a bs motor..

Replaced it all ... and Guess What My machine just stopped after about 5 hours of running , the other night.. Pump and /or motor locked up> I dont know yet but I had to use a pipe wrench to break it loose.. The thing is it was running fine then it just started loosing pressure , the it would gain pressure and he loose pressure.. I was on the roof so I ran down the ladder and just as I got off the ladder the machine just stopped...It would not turn over at all , I even tried turning the pump with my hand but could not..I put a pipe wrench on the pulley on the honda motor and got it to turn over now it turns over , has comppression , but wont start... I got to thinking maybe the generator thats still hooked up locked up and stopped themotor so I will take the belt off of it first, and try to start it.. There was no water in the pump oil.. and then I check the Honda motor oil it was just on the dipstick and it smelled like gas.. so I am going to change it out..This little incident cost me 400.00 ( CRAP ) Oh well.... Any ideas ?? I will fill you in more tommorrow... Also antbody got a spare TS1511 for a good price... ??

hey john the gas could have wiped the crank shaft and locked it up, find out how the gas is getting into the crank, bad diaphram or somthing, gas in the oil will grab a hold of the crank and hold on to it.

Ok I hope this may have happened .. I think since I was on the roof and could not see exactly what was going on that maybe the motor stopped because the oil level was to low..But that doesnt explain the reason for it being locked up..I guess I could have been really tired and just couldnt turn the pump and motor assembly by hand.. ( Most likely this is not it ) However I do recall a knocking sound coming from the pump or motor or generator..not sure which one... I had been working 36 hours straight and I was up north in Cleveland Mississippi and it was my last job.. I have weighed out the odds on replacements If it is the honda motor ( 1342.00 ) I wil buy a new machine.. If it is the pump ts1511 I will get a new pump 425.00 .. I have a $ 900.00 dollar job today starting at 5 pm that I really need to do .. Then Monday I have a 250.00 job and then I am booked tuesday thru sat..Hey Mario if this happened did I screw my motor up or after fixing the fuel problem will it start up and run after I change the oil... ??? Anybodys guess

If there's gas in a Honda crankcase, the float is sticking in the carb, allowing gas into the cylinder, where it will leak past the rings and mix with the oil. Can't be suer how much damage has been caused...all you can do is change the oil, get it started, and hope for the best.

BTW, I have a brand new 13 Hp Honda recoil start for $650.00 if you need it

The starter can be added, but it's quite a little bit of work...the hole needs to be cut in the block, the flywheel, charging coils, control box, and all wiring will need to be transferred.

$399 is a great price for that pump...just watch the shipping and handling charges.
