will this work for now?

Was gonna wait till next yr to start doing roofs but.....guess I'm gonna get a delavan 5800 in a few days. I got 1 roof to do. besides the pump, for now would a couple 100 fts water hoses, and a couple 55 gal drums work? Over the winter, I plan on getting everything that I need to make it right but for right now just tryin to put enough together to do this roof.
Thanks all

I started with less than that! A 4 gallon backpack, 55 gallon drum, siphon pump, and a couple 50' 3/8" water hoses to rinse with!

Go ahead and get a couple 5/8" hoses for the Delavan. I picked up 100' rubber Craftsman hoses for $37 at Sears. I also use $.99 nozzles from Ace.

I had to throw mine away. I replaced everything that could be replaced until things couldn't be replaced anymore. That thing didn't owe me a dime though- paid for itself about a thousand times! I remember SH running up my arm into my armpit and soaking my shirt, running down my back, leaking everywhere... Yep, I don't miss that method.

I still use a small handheld pump for small touch up spots so I don't have to yank the trailer across the state for a touchup.

i have read that some people here on this website use pump sprayers for gutters but i can't imagine what that gutter cleaner would feel like running down your arm.

My 1st roof I used a back pack with New Again ( S. Hydrox ) Mannnnnn, talk about hot when it leaks on your back. I kept feeling it getting hot, rinsed my back a couple times so I could just finish the small roof...Hottttttt

Then the next day I woke up and I had a spot on my back the looked like a McDonald's hamburger, OUCH. Same size and color. I had the burn & scab for over a month. Live & Learn. The hard way
