O.K I am new here, well posting at least... Paul set me up with a pimp daddy rig, and I am doing my first fleet demo on Thur.

I am a window cleaner. That is my company, but i am pushing more PW'ing. There is good money in window cleaning, but i fell into a couple fleets and well now i have 2 companies...

BTW if anyone wants to share thier pricing with me (im in WI) that would help me out alot! U_sinc@yahoo.com

I know a few window guys getting the pw on commercial buildings because the pm wants to deal with one person for everything!

I always itemize my prices and I always add windows as an option as long as they are reachable and don't have solar screens. Lots of people just say "okay lets just do the whole thing" and I just made an extra $150 in an hour. Sometimes they ask if they really need to be cleaned, I just tell them it's a nice touch aster pressure washing. Sometimes they just say no. Depends on the customer.

Window washing exteriors - goes with the housewash (just like the outside of gutters)

Here's the question (and the reason I said we hate windows) - INSIDES. If the insides of the windows look like crap, the outsides will always look like crap. It's a completely different animal going into someone's home (or business during off hours) to "do windows".

Are we speaking just on exteriors?

That is a good question for Ron, If I was guessing, he would squeegee the windows that got wet so the windows that got wet would not look worse but the windows that did not get wet are the way that they were before the crew got there.

I don't think that he is going to clean the whole shopping center windows for free, just squeegee the windows that got wet.

Yeah Chris, that's what I do. Just squeegee the ones that got wet.

Well we are now revisiting this window washing thing with the a$$ kicking water fed pole and DI water setup Roger won in Texas last weekend :)

Cause there are no windows in the hood!

I heard that you were giving squeegee classes at the IWCA Convention next year, Ron.

I sub out all my window cleaning to a guy that has over 20 years experience. Windows is all he does. In turn he subs out all his pressure washing jobs to me. It's a 2 way street.

I don't offer it because I do not think I could charge enough for the time it would take. Most windows have screens or storm windows to remove upstairs and down.
Another thing is oxidized vinyl trim around window that bleeds paint each time you touch it.

I had a guy who use to follow me with w/c after i was done with a s/c. I could not beleive he was only charging me $200.00 to do the whole center? and this was an average size s/c with 4x8 ft windows all the way thru. i would charge back to my P/M $400.00 and make as much as him not doing them. I think the money is in the high end homes, people who have a quarterly service done on their home, and building up a good client base. Most residentials I clean never ever ask me about cleaning windows weather its high end or trailer park? But like Thad said if you want to upsell its not a bad idea to keep your prices high enough to make good money if they bite.
