Do you Run your 3 bar with a 4 GPM?
You cannot split the pressure, only the flow.
You can lower the pressure with the unloaders or use larger orifice nozzles.
So 4000 psi comes out of all 3 nozzles at the same time? It's not 1333 per nozzle?

You are cutting the nozzles in half(or a third in your case) pressure is dictated by size of nozzles. If all three nozzles add up to the the size that you are supposed to be at. Example a 4000 psi, 4 gpm machine uses a #4 tip. For a two nozzle bar, you use 2 # 2's that makes 4000 psi coming out of each tip. For a three bar you can only use 3 #2's so you are only going to get 2100 psi out of each nozzle.
How much PSI is really needed on concrete?

I traded in my 4.6 gpm 3000 psi machine for a 5.5 gpm 2500 psi machine and concrete is my main deal. I think 2000 psi is plenty for residential concrete, like Josh said you start to remove the creme over 3000. I was having that problem at 2400 psi with my hammerhead SC. Now that I am using a classic I can go the full 2500 without scalping the creme at all. My 2500 psi machine is a great little residential unit. That 4000 psi was just an example, I would never use that on a driveway around here, without being prepared to resurface it!
