Did that yesterday, along with building a snow fort with my 3 year old. He had a blast, too bad it will be gone by tomorrow with the temperatures jumping the way they are.
Snow is good though because of the amount and time of year guys won't wait until all the mud is dry before they start working again which will make lots of equipment all nice and dirty for me.
All four of these are brand newly renovated and the farthest one is the D which is a three minute walk to the event. The rooms at the Golden gate are actually closer to the event than the rooms at the actual event are. Some of these have a resort charge between $10-15 per night. Check on the website first. Parking is either free or $5 per day at the most expensive one. If you don't plan on driving around at night a cheap way to park is to valet and give them a few bucks when you get ready to leave.
