I agree though, if you are in a business where you need constant contact while on the move then you need a smart phone. Another thing we have to put up with because of the "I want it NOW!" generation of people out there.

I just had to give up my last flip-phone after 9yrs. of use...

It was sad to let it go after the many years of abuse. I replaced it with a Samsung Replenish (Android/Blackberry Hybrid), for my fat clumsy fingers.


By the time that i tap into its full potential, i'm sure that it will be MORE obsolete than it is now.

Just by having Google Maps, and the ability to email makes the trade worth it.

LOL.. You are lucky to get analog here. Closest town has 35 year round residents and no gas station. Closest gas it 15 miles away.

Ron, I do not think that a smart phone will work out here. Even with the booster I only have one bar on the phone, sometimes 2. Give it to someone that will get more use out of it. At least when these break it is only $30 to replace it.
 
I keep hearing all the hype about them but I am like Jim, I just like my flip phone pretty good but would love to tap into my emails and such on the go!!! Been thinking alot about them the last while...we will see.

Ok, I grabbed onto the new but didn't quite let go of the old!!

I got myself and android and am loving pretty much...


but I still have my flip phone as my main cell phone. I just can't imagine that being my only phone to use to call with and everything.
 
I like the google earth app., though i dont have street view i can still size up a house from 20 miles away and give a quote in three minutes, e.mail on the fly for insurance certificates or anything else. maps with turn by turn talking directions ( though i always hear recalculating for some reason lol ) the list goes on.

I wouldnt want to try it any other way
 
Smart phone my $#@

I got a new phone and service from verizon, tried it out for three days and then last friday i ported my number from att over to verizon. ever since porting my number the phone hasnt worked. 4 days on the phone with tech support and this is what they tell me today. " My switch is stuck in cyberspace and they dont know when it will come down" WHAT the heck is that ?????

Thats hilarious thats what that is....geez I cant imagine how frustrating that is....hope you get it working soon.
