Back before we had the state of the art pump systems we have now, I used to clean roofs like this with what is called a chicken ladder. It is simply a ladder with rungs (hooks) that goes over the top of the roof. Then, you can safely work off the ladder.With regards to just walking that roof...
Not necessary if you have a big enough pump systems hit it from the ladder. Otherwise, if you have to go up on a two or more story install some safety anchors and rig up. It isn't worth your life or the OSHA fine if you fall or get caught. Remember, roof cleaning makes things potentially slippery, especially if you are using surfactant. We get $65 per anchor installed. Customers never object because they are permanent.
