hey if he has a smart cell phone with gps, ask him if he minds if you use google latitude to track him for business effeciency reasons, if he says no, maybe there is a problem, anyway he knows now that you're looking at his work. latitude is also free.

This guy ended up getting fired last January. I caught him going home to sleep multiple times in the middle of his shift. Dope was making $600 a week for about 30 hours of scheduled work, and that wasn't enough. He was trying to get it done in about 10 hours. He still wanted teh $600, though.

In today's economy this kinda crap wouldn't happen, and if it did I'm sure you would have dropped him quick and hired one of the thousands of guys that are out of work.
It's funny what kind of opportunities a good and bad economy can give you if your ready for them. A lot of guys in my area are going out of business, I've tried to pass them work and subbed jobs out to them when possible. Some have turned things around and are doing well, some just said screw it and have sold me their equipment.
