What was this used for

Anyone ever seen a setup like this? A co-worker brought this in and havent a clue as to why they would put a 12v clutch on a pump except maybe to shut the pump off while engine is still running. As far as the other thing on there is that for a low pressure chemical pump setup?

I could be totally wrong here but that looks like a psi driven pump or air pump running off the PW pump....at least that's what it looks like to me.

That's exactly what it is...a pulse pump. Works the same way as the fuel pump on the engine. A diaphragm inside senses the pushes and pulls of the water going through the inlet valve, and converts it to a pumping action between the ports.

Wonder how much psi it puts out? 5-10 psi maybe?

Does the pulse pump have any identifying info on it? It's not Comet, Cat, or general. See if you can find any manufacturer's info.

After cleaning it up it says hydramaster on it so it must be for carpet cleaning. The pump is 3.5 gpm @ 2500 psi

Here's the pump for sale...not any output info though. I have a relationship with my local Interlink dealer. I'll get ahold of him next week to see if he can shed some light on the specs.
