Still working on my advanced degree from M.I.T.

Not talking about the prestigious university in Cambridge, I'm talking Mistakes I've Tried.
 
In process of getting my real estate lic. in a community college. Hopefully some day I will be able to use it.....LOL
 
BA (72) in Administration of Criminal Justice and a few unit shy (8) of the Masters.
 
I dropped out of High School when I was 17, basically failed every class I ever took (even German, and I am german and can speak it fluently), reason being, I was way too lazy and didn't give a you know what.

Ended up getting my GED and enrolled in a Tech College to go for an Associate in Computer Technology, and well, now I am here pressure washing and wouldn't trade it for nothing. :)
 
Wow I am in there .. I have an Assoc Degree.. In Robotics and Electronics Engineering from Holmes Jr College From 1985.. I also have an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering .. From 1996 from Hinds College.. Journeyman Electrician License and a General Contractors License...

well did 3 years of college for the sake of being a teacher.but got burnned out after working full time in mgmt @sears and going to school full time. but i look back and all the people i went to school with make less $$ than i do and went to school for 5-7 yrs. they work an 8-5 everyday in a suit and tie. sitting behind a desk,having someone tell them what to do. me i get dirty and work a few days outa tha week. some weeks it 12hr days for 7 days straight. but. I love it and i learn somethin new everyday. i will go back to school for my degree to acomplish my personal goal. Im on the 10 yr college plan :)
 
Wow...I just dug up this thread and thought it interesting how much smarter some of you guys are than you get credit for. :)

I myself have some college...I had to drop out when my mom kicked me out of the house. I was working full time and going to school full time so I was never at home. She thought it would help me "grow up."

I have an Associate degree as well as a Bachelor degree in Business Administration!
Took me 6 yrs to complete this 4 yr degree while working 3 different jobs at once and going to school at night. One of the jobs was full time.
I was working for the City as I am now......7 days on 7 off 12hrs a day. On my week off worked for a small company doing assembly work at retail stores like Wal-Mart and Lowe's. I have built alot of grills and bicycles....lol
My 3rd job in all of this was checking Weaval traps around cotton fields on a 4 wheeler..........this was more like play for me back then!!!

Paid every dime of my college out of my pocket with no grants and no help from anyone!!!!! And then spent 8 yrs selling cars and now I am pressure washing.......
 
I graduated High school with 9 gym credits and 6 shop credits. If i went to a normal school I'd probably still be there. Failed my grade 11 chemistry exam with a wopping 19%, ( he passed me any way knowing I wasn't going on to college). If only my teacher could see me now.

You don't have to be that smart, just hire people smarter than you and enpower them.
