My electric fired beckett burner keeps spewing black smoke, sometimes keeps pumping fuel into the insulation and not igniting.
The fuel nozzle is not clogged or obstructed by anything. I checked the electrodes they are adjusted correctly and they do fire up correctly when the heat switch is on and they are in good shape.
The fuel nozzle itself is new.
Maybe too high fuel pressure?
It's an older Northstar.
I had a coil made for it as the original one is no longer available.
And the original flow valve went bad a couple years ago and I opted for a pressure switch on the General pump.
