Maryland Pressure Washing
The 2004 Power washing season is ending for many of us that have cold weather. What does your company do when you can't power wash?

Choose as many options as you like and if it's not listed, by all means post in the thread.

We build custom decks year around. I am a general contractor I live in Wisconsin and we dig footings even when its cold.
Cold meaning zero and below.
We work for major developers and are lucky enough to have that kind of work through the winter. Our footings have to go a minimum of 48 inches deep and in the northern parts of the state we have to go 60 inches deep to get below the frost.
The frost likes to push around decks and other structures if you do not go deep enough.
Wood restoration is a great addition to our business. We are thankful for forums like this with so much information. Thanks to all of you.

Off season? Commercial accounts will prevent an off season.

Wait mabye I should switch...off season hmmm.

We also plow snow so we really only have no work about 2 weeks of the year due to extreme cold.

I usually wait for a Hurricane. Last year went to Mississippi and Texas after Katrina and Rita with a Bobcat and all my chainsaws. Taking trees off of homes is good money for winter.

Here's a pic of my outfit last year at a campsite in Mississippi.....

We wash hoods year round and plow snow, When temps drop below 5 degrees we take the day off. When it snows I dont take the trailer out so we take the day off from hoods and plow snow....

What's Snow!

Its the white stuff Tony Montana brings in from Cuba. The white stuff you go some where to play in, Where we play and get payed.

I see Denver is going to get hit Today, So Nicole take cover.

We have had weird weather here in calm Iowa, Cold one day, nice the next, snow one day none the next. I dont anti-freeze my machine, So this means I have to put heat in the trailer every night when I get home. That Sucks!!!!!

as for pressure washing - I tune up all my equipment and MARKETING

Pressure washing Season ..... ???? I give up .. I didnt know there was a season... When it gets cold I just buy antifreeze for the whitco and keep on rollin...... Sorry I been gone while ... I have been cleaning all the Bumpers and Western Sizzlin's up north...( Mississippi ) Then my regular accounts ... I have been booked 7 days a week solid for almost 2 months now...I even got to work tonight... Also the dang Fire Equipment Business is really been increasing in sales here lately I get calls almost everyday to inspect this , recharge that... I will try to get some photos of the Jobs we have been doing and post them soon... But as for the seasonal Cleaning I have cleaned vent hoods in 20 degree weather as well as 80 degree weather... I just buy antifreeze run it thru the machine ... Then I catch it and reuse it 5 or six times and it pays for itself...
