Hello..Another new one here

New here jsut checking things out. i had never heard of roof cleaning until about 3 days ago. WOW. I assume that since I have not heard of it, it might be an open market in my area.
I am a paramedic since the early 90's but since i work only a couple days a week I have been trying to establish a business on the side.
Austin has a diverse culture where real estate is big. a large part of the population here believes in GREEN things. Meaning bilding and cleaning with earth friendly products. i have read through some of the forums, but have lots more to go. I am interested in finding out more. Things such as start up cost and procedures. Are the products to provide to the people that insist on GREEN?

We Sale, Install, and Maintain kitchen exhaust systems, including fire suppression systems. We have been cleaning commercial hoods for about 3 years. Always looking for a better way of cleaning, hoping to get some info on degreasers used in the hood cleaning industry. "Tired of Scraping" and Greased Lightining just isnt doing a very good job. Any and All help appreciated.
 
I am new to the board and wanted to introduce myself, since I have been using you for info the last couple of weeks. I work in south fl and have been in the biz for six years. I also work as a firefighter.

I have a 24hp honda and a general pump that is rated at 3650 psi @ 8.5 gpm. I bought a hydro-tek diesal fired hot water heater to go along with it. I also have a 27" fiberglass surface cleaner that is my money maker. I prefer flat work, but I have a 3 gpm shur-flo to spray my bleach if I pick up some roofs. I look forward to sharing some of my info with the board....Chris.

Welcome Bryan, please feel free to post all you want. Indiana guys are welcome. I was born in southside of chicago and grew up in northwest indiana.

My father took me to indy almost ever year. I'm no longer a big race fan but those where the days.
