Water Under Doors

Well Ron, you guys are way out of my league in the pressure washing thing, but I would love to give back by sharing any search engine optimization information or residential window cleaning techniques.

I usually pull my weight so I'll pitch in where I can...

Thanks for sending me the text message to this place

Kris, I dont use them but you can do this, go to the local hardware or pool supply store and het you 20 feet or more of blue flat discharge hose and cut it in leangths of 4 to 5 feet each and fill it with sand, zip tie the ends and throw them in front of the door as needed.

I use the "sand snakes" they are larger and heavier http://sunbrite.stores.yahoo.net/sandsnake.html but either will do for that application.

Nice website too by the way

For those of you that have stencils, If yours is large enough they work great for stopping water from getting under doors and allows you to get right up to the edge. Just lay it up against the door

At night its way to humid down here for duct tape to work. it only sticks for a lil while. I go right up to it first and spray it low pressure with a bent wand. just point the water twards your feet.If theres gum on it do the same. i throw down the homemade snakes filled with water and use the SC,works good for me

Here it gets so hot in the summer you can hold the roll of duct tape and the duct tape falls off the roll, you don't have to unroll it. hahahahaha

Russ thanks for the blue discharge hose idea. you should have seen me today in the sand trap next to the 17th green at the local golf course!

Felt like a total bum, but hey, I couldn't find any sand in the park. All they had was bark.

You can normally find sand snakes at any major termite company...they use them all the time for tenting houses. Alot of them will sell them or just give you a couple of them.

Duct Tape is just the way to go. I agree with Tom from Tuson, Even with duct tape sometimes it just finds its way in there, nothing u can do but notify the customer before hand that some water may get through the cracks but you will try to keep that from happening.

I also use duct tape, but find that it is not always 100% effective.

I always provide my commercial accounts with the attached Notification Scheduled Pressure Washing Project memo that is distributed to the property owners, PM's and tenants.
