Other than the garden hose washers with the screen, what types of filters are people using to filter their water before it goes into the tank?
Nothing fancy like DI, RO or Soft, just grit, lint and etc.

Any comments on Line Strainers versus Y Strainers?

What is the most popular mesh, since their are so many to choose from?

Anyone here using a Scaltrol Unit for their Skid?
 
On my 3/4" feed hose, I have a washer/screen combo, and on the intake to the pressure washer itself, I have a threaded bowl type filter. I don't remember what the screen size is, but it is fine enough to capture anything that could damage the pump or clog a nozzle.

Both were purchased from Espec.
