Wash-Safe

Looks like sodium percarbonate packaged to sell to those who don't buy it in bulk. Probably full of filler as well.
Also didn't realize this was posted in the roof cleaning forum. Will not give you satisfactory results for roof cleaning.

I think I am going to try some of this product. Wont ever know if we dont. It sounds like baquacil. We are really looking for a green method to clean roofs. We have not had any problems yet with SH but alot of our customers are scared to death. Has anyone ever tried Hydrogen Peroxide on shingle roofs

Hydrogen Peroxide in heavy concentrated form can be hazardous to your health. Can you say ....Go Boom?
Have tried it. Stay away unless you are really diluting this and even then, be careful not to add to other cleaning agents that react violently to this chemical. In my humble opinion there are other products that do a better job, are safer and if you look back on one of the post made by (I believe but don't quote me) Apple Roof Cleaning. I believe there is a GREAT dissertation about why using Chlorine is really fairly Green in diluted form (mainly salts) and is found in many things we use daily and take for granted. We drink the stuff in our water, wash are bodies with small concentrations of it, heck, even some organs in our body actually produce small quantities of a type of chlorinate. So, be careful of the hype and do your own due diligence and read, read, read. And study the MSDS on everything you use. If the ARMA guidelines say that this is the best form of cleaning agent and they are representing the manufacturers don't you think that they might have done their homework? Just my .02 Cents..........

The only folks I ever hear saying bleach is bad are those that have a vested interest in selling something else.

These folks can't bottle bleach and sell it for $20/gallon is why they bad mouth it. Give me a call if you would like for me load your lip on what to say to homeowners when they get scared of the bleach.

"Load yer Lip, not just with Dip"

Mike, myself and it sounds like at least one other person on the PWI board would greatly appreciate and would love to hear your Homeowner "Rebuttal" INSIGHTS regarding SH.

Do us all a favor and post your take on SH in residential uses and "lip :) service" on why we should be allowed to safely clean with SH in HUGE variety of positive uses in many residential and commercial applications.

Please do write a "STICKY" on the why's, the pro's / con's and reasons why a homeowner shouldn't balk and run and INSTEAD Allow us as cleaning experts decide to safely and properly utilize SH on exterior surfaces for cleansing purposes and to instead stick around and be educated on the SUPERIOR CLEANING characteristics of Sodium Hypochlorite.

The homeowner should be pleased when we mention Sodium Hypochlorite (Concentrated BLEACH) once they are properly brought up to speed on its awesome capabilities.

Education is the Key. If I am wrong, kindly correct me.

We need to POLITELY remind the public that we do our cleaning for, that Local, regional and international municipalities politely pour thousands of gallons of SH into our water supply and we drink a diluted version of what we are applying to various structures' surfaces on a daily basis all across the world.

The negative "HYPE" coming from people regarding SH as a so-called "problem" cleaning agent is truly ridiculous as it is instead on on the most VERSATILE cleaning chemicals that work wonders yet in diluted form, IN REALITY, is one of the more GREEN solutions to tough cleaning situations. Yes, I know that one of the primary ingredients of the manufacture of Sodium Hypochlorite is Sodium Hydroxide and it can be some nasty stuff in super concentrated form but diluted under 12% is a very stable cleaning agent.

It is really one sided on mainly the part of the chemical re-packager and Re-labeler wanting to TOUT their LATEST and GREATEST cleaning Miracle Potion or concoction.

SH works, works well and has been the STANDARD and "GO TO" cleaning and sterilization agent to use with bleach friendly surfactants and TSP, Borax, etc. There is a reason for this as most who have been in the biz and have tried "OTHER" magic pills and miracle additives will tell you. None work better than the original SH for specific applications. And in the end and when diluted with H2O, SH is mainly a variety of salt compounds primarily.

Apple Roof Cleaning's Chris Tucker really knows his stuff and it shows from his over 15 years in the business using various concentrations of SH and other cleaning agents to safely clean many structures roof surfaces and that is why they call him "The Professor". Reading some of his archived posts may help the newbie or the contractor unsure of the relative safe use of SH and how to safely apply and rinse using SH on various roofing systems. Chris Tucker is THE go to guy for creative uses of SH in the cleaning arena.

Just my rambling and .23 cents worth LOL.
