Warning to all LA area exhaust cleaners

Matt, I don’t believe you’re afraid of Big Joe. Your concerned about sales and the ethics of Big Joe but afraid your not. If you where afraid you would not have posted this.

Big Joe and I are competitors and I won’t buy from him but I work beside him all the time. Big Joe tries to take my business and I try to take his that’s the game. I personally like the having Big Joe around because it keeps me on my toes.

I’m extremely competitive and I like having others in the market fighting and struggling. This gives me a measurement at which I can determine how hard I want to work. I have had big Joe knock on the doors hard at times.

Beware of this; Big Joe has sales Staff of many….. If lines of communication are not open with your customers Big JOE will take them.

All in all this posts is a good post, not a BIG JOE bash post but a learning experience on how to handle large company’s. I have learned from JOE and I Practice there techniques. (NOT THE BS) the strategy’s of going after larger accounts. BIG JOE spends a lot of money on research and marketing we cannot.

Why not start posting in this thread what you can do to defend yourself against JOE rather than fear him.
 
Speaking of quality control, I think I have found a way to keep track of what the guys are doing at night. I have a picture/video phone that take pretty good video's, only 15 seconds at a time but that is enough show duct, fan top and bottom, or pan across the hood. It has even allowed me to help with a technical problem. The vid's or pic's only take a minute to send and I can see the work minutes after it was completed.
This obviously doesn't solve all problems but I'm finding it to be a useful tool. We may even make the vid's available to customer in the near future. Give me a week or so, I will try to make a complete before and after video set available for you to look at.
 
I like to think of stories like David and Goliath, or Jack and the Beanstalk. Giant go boom, little man wins!!! Kinda like the NBA championship.:D
 
Like the Rams and Lakers plus-yes other we don't need to mention.

Big Joe-couldn't do it with Elabs-now they have a shot at it please. They have the same problems as the rest of us-just a bigger one.

I was approached by a few of these facilitys management companys to perform service for them.

I would form a relationship with them if they came up with some reasonable figures.

Any jabroni can tell a restaurant owner that his system looks bad. Maybe you should grow a pair and back up your statements.

The warning is for any of the other LA exhaust cleaning companies out there to get your shit together. Make sure that your accounts are on the right frequencies and are getting the proper service. Tell anybody that you know who has an exhaust cleaning company that doesn't read this board that big Joe is in town and he wants your accounts and he will use deceptive business tactics to get them.

BTW big Joe, here are some before and afters of that account you were trying to get yesterday. The guy that did this job will chew up and spit out any serviceman you have.

Ron, first off thanks for the invite over to this site...they are not all here yet but look out! they have been clubbin me like an artic seal over at the grime scene:hang3: (you know this) lol... I am sure beth and rod are preparing my papers for banned camp as i speak. this thread really can open your eyes to the structure of this industry. As with every other industry there are different levels and sizes of competition. I think that each 1 has a place, most start out small and stay small, some start out small and grow to mid-size, some are here today gone tomorrow and some start huge and stay huge, all of this is driven by the needs of the customer. Its just the system we live in like it or not. God Bless America.
