Want to trade SCAG mower for hot skid

You must have modified that squeegee pretty well to get very good results.
I talked to Jerry McMillen last year about the Swabby being set-up for reclaim. He told me the squeegee system that's on it would have to be modified to work better which he was willing to do. Problem here was at that point I already sold everything but the Swabby. The Squeegee system though was a concern of mine because my goal is to have my guys use this type machine and the quickness of the Swabby I had a big concern of a guy or even myself doing a Zero degree turn and catch that Squeegee on a support pole or guide rail.

The tenant sweepers the squeegee work excellent but in my case we deal with alot of water...maybe even to much.

This is why I'm staying away for now on even trying to convert any surface machine into a reclaim machine for large surfaces. To me it works better if the water can be sucked up from the deck like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABU7QhmB_9o&feature=youtube_gdata_player

But like what Jerry said if you modified the squeegee enough it works well like what your saying.

No pics that I am willing to post. There are still some refinements that I need to make. I also do not use a double shell, because I just could not get it to work as effectively as I wanted. I ended up with a squeegee from a scrubber that I got from a sweeper supply. It works amazingly well.

I understand.

I have looked at the squeegee of the ride on scrubbers Sams Club and Costco employees used all the time,...... did anyone else notice that both retailers have downsized from the ride on to the walk behind units, wonder if it was a liability issue.

I have watched that video many times and that sure is a cool machine, I would probably drive it a little bit slower myself, especially when turning to help control the wash water.

What do you do when the squeegee wears out? Do you get them from a Tennant type company or do you have a place to get one or are you on your own since that swabby maker is no longer in business? Just wondering as it seems like there are many of those great machines out there and where do you guys get parts when needed?

Jerry does not visit the site that much, I am sure if there were enough calls to his shop and enough interest he could design a deck like the swabby, probably would need to see some pictures of it up close and maybe some video footage, maybe he could come up with something that could be mounted to a zero turn mower like the 40" vacuum recovery surface cleaner deck is made to do. He will do a lot for his customers but like most businesses, there has to be enough demand or need for it. I am sure if he made it, they would start selling to contractors all over the country, probably outside the country also.

I am sure he could probably get some great quality swivels for it also that hold up to the demands of commercial concrete cleaning.
