Venturi uptake for downstreaming.

WASH-IT H.B.

I seem to be having big issues with the variable venturi on my machine. some times I get good soap delivery and the next time I get next to none at the lance. I have wound the thing up and down through the entire variable range on it and it appears to make little or no difference. I am at present running with the venturi full open and getting almost enough soap on the job.
I don't run Hypo through it only a fleet wash type detergent.
My Machine is a 3200 PSI @ 22litres/minute direct drive unit.
I am running 55 metres (180 feet) standard bore pressure hose.
I apply detergent with a standard BLACK tip or a 3mm bore shooter tip (my own design) or height and distance.
Any thoughts Gentlemen please.
Having a great summer down under in New Zealand.

Pull it apart. Had the exact same problem 3 weeks ago. Tiny little o ring at the bottom had somehow dislodged itself from its seat & was jammed between the ball bearing & the bore of the injector.

Check the oring, ball, and spring. Also check you pickup in the chem tank to make sure sure it is not a large clump of powdered soap with little getting through. Other thing I have noticed in the past, last part of the soap drum was really think and could not be pulled by the injector.

Get rid of the variable injector, they will not pull as strong as a regular injector.

Make sure your chemical hose has a strainer/filter on it to keep the trash from clogging the hose, injector or nozzle.

Take your chemical hose off and use compressed air and blow out the hose to make sure no trash is in it.

Remove the hose barb from the injector and make sure no trash/dried soap clumps are in there blocking flow.

Like said above, check the o-ring and make sure it is good and not moved around blocking flow.

Try a different pressure gun, try to stay with 12 gallons per minute as the lower flow guns do not work good if at all.

A lot of injectors will not pull with over 200 feet of pressure hose, you are not too far from the limit, too many variables to mention but try a shorter hose and see if it works after you tried everything else.

Hope this helps.

Also always keep your syphon hose filter clean and well weighted. I keep pipe cleaners with me. I use old fittings as weights
